STOP PRESS - SALE & CLOSURE OF BENTONS BRASSERIE ...
As of the 8th June, 2011 & following the sale of Bentons Brasserie, the restaurant will now be closed until further
notice; but after refurbishment is fully expected to re-open, though under new ownership...
As the former proprietor, I would like to thank each and every one of you for your custom over the years, with many of you having dined with us since we opened 13 years ago. It has been a fantastic decade for the restaurant, and over the years we have celebrated countless weddings, birthdays and christenings. We've raised money for charities, held many social events and hosted dinners for many international sportsman - the most memorable being the Australian Cricket Team!
I'm sorry to those who may have had Bentons Brasserie in mind for future events, and the short notice I have provided, but I'm sure you'll understand the nature of such a sale has to come with complete confidentiality. Today, will be the first time our close friends and families will hear about the sale of the restaurant.
You have been fantastic customers, and I will miss many of you - especially those who I have spent most of my Christmas Day's with in the last 13 years! It's been a real pleasure.
I hope to see some of you again in the future. I will still be spending time at The Staunton Arms, so hope to see you there.
Until then, take care.
Julian Benton
